Footloose is a good way
to describe how we make these films. We have found the best way to
discover and enjoy a country's most beautiful places is to walk the
trails, pathways and streets.
During 2005 and 2006 David and Debra produced four films in Europe. In each
one they take a spectacular scenic walk and visit a historic city.
All four 'Footloose' films are available on DVD (£15.99 inc. p&p) and VHS (£14.99 inc. p&p)
from our shop.
Footloose In Italy
Running time 94 minutes

Walking in the Cinque Terre
Debra and David walk the spectacular coastal footpaths between five
impossibly pretty villages, clinging precariously to the Ligurian
coastline. Probably the most beautiful of the Italian coastal walks, with
stunning panoramic views at every turn. We take you with us through the
'five lands', talking to locals about the rich heritage and sampling
traditional food and wine.
Discovering Venice
We explore the streets and canals of the most photogenic city in the world,
absorbing its unique culture and history. The Rialto markets at dawn; an
eventful Gondola ride; St. Mark's Square; a fascinating interview with a
famous mask-maker; glass blowing at Murano and much more make this visit
to fabled city in the lagoon a memorable journey.
Footloose In Austria
Running time 95 minutes

Hallstatt Walks
The picturesque village in the heart of Austria's alpine lake district is
the perfect place to begin two circular walks in the Salzkammergut. We
take you walking through the rugged mountains; into a pre-historic working
salt mine; down a spectacular ice cave and around a pristine glacier lake
in this captivating and beautiful region. We talk to local people in
national dress and learn about this amazing world heritage site.
Discovering Salzburg
Historically and culturally rich, the medieval city is the focus of part two.
We explore the old streets and fortress to experience its heritage,
speaking to the Artistic Director of Salzburg's world famous marionette
theatre, and a Chocolatier whose family business is still making the
renowned 'Mozart Balls'. Mozart was born here, 'The Sound Of
Music' was filmed here and the prestigious Salzburg Festival are all
testaments to the city's unique musical history.
Footloose In Switzerland
Running time 84 minutes

Lauterbrunnental and Kleine
Scheidegg
The village of Lauterbrunnen, with Wengen and Mürren, situated un the
picture-perfect glacial valley set amid lofty snowcapped peaks, mountain
meadows and over 60 waterfalls (including the Trümmelbach falls), is the
base for the two spectacular walks. Debra and David walk high in the
Bernese Oberland where stunning alpine flowers abound, and take the cog
railway from Kleine Scheidegg to the eternal snow of Jungfraujoch, the
'top of Europe'. Then under the shadow of the mighty Eiger, they walk to
Grindelwald with superb views of glaciers and valleys that make this area
so special. The film features an interview with Lauterbrunnen lace-makers,
still creating beautiful lace unique to this valley.
Discovering Lucerne
Lucerne lies at the geographical heart of Switzerland; medieval
bridges span the River Reuss and palaces, churches and spires fill the skyline.
Debra and David walk the ancient streets and city walls and take a
nostalgic steamship cruise on its wide blue lake which is cradled by
magnificent mountains. A visit to the world famous Swiss Transport Museum
brings together Switzerland's unique and special modes of transport.
Footloose In Spain *New
for Autumn 2006
Running time 92 minutes

Walking in the Alpujarras
Debra and David walk the slopes of
Spain's highest mountain range: the Sierra Nevada, underneath the hot sun
of Andalucia. They take you through pretty white-washed villages, along
ancient mule tracks passing by water courses where butterflies and wild
flowers abound. The unspoilt scenery with it's steep valleys and high
peaks makes some of the best walking country Spain can offer.
Discovering Barcelona
The couple walk the colourful streets of
this beautiful Spanish city. They start by taking the Modernism trail
visiting Gaudi's Guell Park, Sagrada Familia and Casa Mila... then down
the vibrant and entertaining Ramblas, through the beautiful Gothic Quarter
and up to Montjuic. Debra talks to local expert Maria Albacar about
Barcelona and it's fascinating history. Another memorable visit to a
lovely city.
